Collaborative Work Traveling to Seattle
This past spring Kelda Martensen and I exhibited a collaborative body of work at Caggio in Milwaukee. It is now time for the work to make its appearance in Seattle, which is where Kelda is based. We will be exhibiting the work with Ty Kelly who is an architect who creates assemblages from computer parts which reference cityscapes. The work will be shown at Burien Press and DJ Mikey-Oh will be providing the music.

They are celebrating their 20th year! I was a resident at the CPC three years ago before I went onto grad school. Deb Maris Lader, the owner, had a huge impact on me and my work. I still visit there regularly and try to stay involved with the events and exhibitions they have year round. Please visit the website for more details on what will be going on that day.
Also, this event is a featured program with Studio Chicago, a year long project developed by the Dept of Cultural Affairs to showcase the ways artists create in their respective studio environments. Opening at Caggio
Caggio will be exhibiting a new body of collaborative work that I did with the Seattle based artist, Kelda Martensen on April 9, 2010.
These collaged works were done over a period of several months by sending them back and forth through the mail. I am very excited and honored to be exhibiting/collaborating with Kelda, she is an amazing artist whose work has influenced me greatly. After the Milwaukee show it will be traveling to Seattle for an exhibition (stay tuned for more details).

I will be working with TNHF to develop a series of prints over the next year that will be available for purchase. Check out my blog in the coming months for more details and updates on this project.
